Rebecca Walker Reczek received her Ph.D. in marketing from The University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Reczek’s research focuses on the area of consumer behavior. Specifically, her research has explored consumer lay theories and inference making, self-perceptions, and ethical decision making. Given her interest in consumer well-being, she has explored these theoretical interests in the substantive domains of food and health decision making and sustainability. Current projects continue to explore these areas, as well as online consumer behavior and consumer response to promotions.
Dr. Reczek’s research has appeared in leading marketing journals, including theJournal of Consumer Research, theJournal of Marketing Research, theJournal of Marketing,Marketing Science, and theJournal of Consumer Psychology. She is currently serving as an Associate Editor at theJournal of Consumer Researchand theJournal of Public Policy & Marketing.
Dr. Reczek’s research has appeared in numerous national and international media outlets, including NPR, CNN,Harvard Business Review,Slate, andDetails. Dr. Reczek is a past recipient of the Early Career Award from the Society for Consumer Psychology, and in 2018 she was selected for the inaugural Marketing Science Institute’s Scholars Program, recognizing leading mid-career researchers in the field of marketing. In 2020 her research was recognized with both the annual Kinnear award for the best article in theJournal of Public Policy & Marketingand the AMA-EBSCO Annual Award for Responsible Research in Marketing.

Position’s Duties and Responsibilities
The Treasurerof the Association provides financial oversight of the Association and the Executive Director, monitors the Association’s financial activities, reviews and assists with conference budgets and other budgets, and reports annually on the Association’s financial status and activities to the Board of Directors.The Treasurer retains a Certified Public Accountant approved by the Board of Directors for the purpose of auditing the Association. The Treasurer approves all expenditures in excess of an amount set from time to time by the Board of Directors.
